Dr. David Daniels received the Minnesota Neurosurgical Society’s David Piepgras Award at the annual academic meeting held at the St. James Hotel in Redwing ,MN on Saturday, September 22nd, 2012. Dr. Daniels paper was entitled, ”

Rational structure-based design and evaluation of novel STAT3 inhibitors that target malignant brain tumors.” There were also three additional Outstanding Presentation Awards presented at the meeting. Recipients included Drs. Almen Kasasbeh, Dino Terzic and Adil Ladak. Cash awards accompanied this recognition: $500 for the Piepgras award; $250 each for the Outstanding Presentation Awards.
